Tomberlin E-MERGE E4 LE Review

Tomberlin was started back in 2007 and has had a rocky journey until 2016 as they are back on the top of their game in the golf cart business and the E-merge LE E4 has been a staple in their lineup for years. The Tomberlin E-Merge E4 LE aligns directly with the brand promise when they discuss “Safety, Performance and Styling.” The unit is outfitted with a slew of standard safety features such as 3-point safety seat belts, 4-wheel hydraulic brakes, and all the headlights, brake lights, and other lighting needs to ensure people will see you driving on the road. The unit also contains 4 seats facing forward with an option to install a rear seat, still.

The Tomberlin LE E4 unit has a 450 AMP controller allowing it to have enough power to get you and your friends/family around the neighborhood. It also allows for much quicker acceleration. This is definitely a good reason to upgrade. However, more acceleration does lead to a quicker battery drain. With an 8-6V battery pack, there should not be much to worry about, however. Also, to its benefit, as a standard, all Tomberlins have an on-board charger to make it easier to charge where ever you can find an outlet.

The seating in the LE is nice, soft and comfy to sit on. However, the front row is a little bit tighter to sit in as compared to a typical golf cart. So, if you consider yourself to be taller than the average person, then make sure you take a seat first prior to purchase. Also, if you live in a state with lots of sunshine, then you may want to consider custom fabric as these seats will get nice and hot when they sit in the sun for a period of time.

With its features, it will be good to note its steering in conjunction with 12” low profile wheels. It has a sport suspension designed to increase the thrill of driving which means it will be tight steering unless you are in a moving state. This will feel different to the “Cadillac” type feel some other golf carts provide. However, this does provide good reason to upgrade to the next model of Tomberlin if the steering concerns you since one model from Tomberlin includes Power Steering. Our recommendation is to test drive them all to see what suits you the best.
