    Garia Via Review

To start off, we would like to state that the Garia Via is street legal version for the United States. If you’re looking for the street legal version for the rest of the world, you’re going to want the Garia Monaco Review found here.

With its headquarters based in the lustrous pastures of Denmark, Garia has been in the Golf Cart Market for over a decade now. And as Garia would say, they are in the “golf car market” versus the golf cart market. That distinction is immediately known when an initial observer takes a look at the beautifully designed Garia vehicle. It almost contains the disposition of a vehicle designed for the future as it drives quietly with thoughtfully created design lines and quality components.

Garia started in 2005 and is a privately held company that uses some of the best European Components to create a vehicle with luxury, quality, and passion. The Garia Via was designed to be a street legal addition to the Garia vehicle lineup, therefore the vehicle will go 25 MPH instead of a slow 19 MPH. With loads of extra features, the Garia Via includes an integrated cooler with additional storage options. For example, the front hood (or bonnet depending on where you’re from) opens up for a place with covered storage. This is rare to find on vehicles within this market segment. Additionally, an overlooked feature is the golf bag holder design. It allows your bags to sit at a 45-degree angle. A 45-degree angle allows for quick visual to locate your club and makes it easier to remove your club from the bag. This is of importance for those with shoulder issues.

Of note is to highlight that the Garia Via is using an auto brake which means it will set automatically. There is no need for setting the brake every time you stop. It uses an electromagnetic parking brake to hold the vehicle in place.

If features aren’t enough for you, then the sleek design and thoughtfully selected components will surely stand out from the rest of the crowd. From a sport leather steering wheel to a futuristic dash cluster, the entire intent of the Garia was designed to be appealing visually while also functional. The seats are seamless and the entire roof drains water through a simple roof drain to avoid getting you wet.

The suspension system is made out of aluminum which is beneficial for a lower weight and has a rust proof frame for those in coastal regions. It is also a sport suspension system which allows for a responsive drive but also has enough suspension to make it comfortable still.

On the safety side, it has hydraulic brakes which is nice for quick and easy stopping. Compared to the Garia Golf, the Garia Via is a much safer vehicle with an automotive front windshield and self-canceling turn signals.

Now, this is a spendy unit, however, the performance package for the motor and controller does not seem to display this pricey tag. With an 3 Kw AC motor and a 275 Amp controller, the Garia Via will perform, but it is not leaps and bounds over other manufacturers in this space. On the other hand, it does offer the option to include lithium ion batteries from Samsung SDI which means you’ll no longer be worrying about watering your batteries consistently and won’t worry about replacing them every 3-6 years depending on where you live.

In summation, we like the Garia, however, you have to be the one to decide if you think the value is worth the price.

Poor customer service and warranty appears to be less than responsive.
My 91 year old mother purchased a brand new Ez Go Freedom Electric Cart from Sun City Golf Carts in Sun City Center, FL. The golf cart has had issues from day #1. First it was charging. That involved multiple calls to the vendor only to find the charging unit was defective. They eventually replaced it and it worked for awhile. She had the one month maintenance appt and discovered the battery had almost zero water in the battery. They filled it and approximately a couple weeks later the cart would not start. The dealer eventually picked up the cart and that was almost 2 weeks ago tomorrow. The charging unit was not programmed correctly and it fried the batteries. They will not replace the batteries without the EZGO approval. So my mother's only form of transportation is sitting in the service garage. I have asked for a loaner and for the dealer to put new batteries in while they wait for the authorization as it is brand new. He refuses to do anything. I have left a message for the company and am waiting for a call back.

    Terrible products
It’s insane to me that EZ-GO can make such a terrible product with such a big price tag. Do not waste your time buying this golf cart. My EZ-GO left me stranded yesterday because the brake solenoid decided to go out again, when I just replaced it last year. The brakes will literally just lock up and make the entire golf cart powerless. When a vehicle company can’t figure out how to fix a braking defect I don’t buy anymore of their products. Zero product advancement these golf carts are Trash. The ONLY good thing about these carts is they are fast when they work.

    This is a great model!
We love it for our kids, it's fun for the whole family and we would highly recommend! We have a custom model with 14" rims, a windshield and custom upholstered seats. We have been thinking to get a hitch to pull the garden wagon around too!

    I like it
I like my 2019 Ezgo 4 passenger golf cart.

Pros: nice ride, decent amount of storage, led lights and loud horn. tinted windshield, turning key to off makes lights, horn and turn signals cannot be turned on.

Cons: Roof does not cover rear passengers, no seatbelts, turn signals do not turn off when making a turn, cup holders area does not seem tight noisy when going over bumps.

Better body style than Club Car
EZGO has a better body style than Club Car. The seats are more comfortable and I feel a better value than the others.

It has been a solid workhorse
It has been a solid workhorse - the batteries are costly and there have been issues holding a charge lately, but for a 12 year old cart it has done fine

Good for what I use it for
I have a 2014 ez go TXT model. Purchased used, runs great, quick, great for my development and what I use it for. Lots of great aftermarket products for the TXT, will be purchasing safety belts for both front and rear seats. Wish the cart felt safer than other carts I have driven. Rides a little rough when driving possibly because it is raised and has large tires. Don't have a stock cart for comparison.
