Too often, compact outdoor stereo speakers either sound tinny or are simply too expensive. The Milennia MIL-S3501 from ProSpec Electronics is neither. Ideal for boats, UTVs, golf cars and other powersport applications, the 3-1/2” mid-range speaker puts out powerful, commanding sound, but with an attractive price tag.
The Milennia MIL-S3501 was engineered for continual outdoor use. It’s rated watertight to IPX5 standards and will even survive extremely wet and humid hot tub conditions.
Whether used in tandem as the main stereo speakers, or for complementing a larger audio system, the S3501 delivers premium quality sound with excellent overall tonal balance. With 25W RMS, 75W peak power and a frequency response of 55Hz–20kHz, higher frequencies such as vocals are clear and crisp. The speaker features 4 ohms impedance and 89dB sensitivity at 2.83V/1M. Installed singly, it makes an ideal dedicated VHF speaker.
At only 4” in diameter, the integrated graphite-colored grille of the S3501 will fit into the tightest dash or console. An integrated gasket allows for simple installation. It requires a 3” cutout and only 1-1/2” of clearance. The Milennia MIL-S3501 speaker from ProSpec Electronics costs $24.95 each.
