VERO BEACH, FL – Dale Sorensen Real Estate is sponsoring the second Vero Beach Easter Parade on March 29 at Ocean Drive.
Part of the event’s program is a Golf Cart Parade that will start at 6 PM but call time for the participants will be no later than 5:30 PM at the 805 Iris Lane, a golf cart staging area.
The parade route will start from the East on Flamevine, turn north on Ocean Drive as it heads to Azalea Lane, west on Azalea then on to Cardinal.
The criteria for judging the participating golf carts will be:
- Most Easter spirit
- Most humorous
- Most original
- Best of Vero beach
Aside from the golf cart contest there will be children’s Easter egg hunt that will be taking place prior to the golf cart parade. It will start at 4:30 PM at Humiston Park. It is subdivided into three age groups: toddlers, 5- to 7-year-olds and 8- to 12-year-olds.
There are also other free activities which include face painting, and the Fairy Hair lady and craft station. Free photos with the Easter Bunny will also be available at Dale Sorensen Real Estate Kiosk located at 3101 Ocean Drive.
Beginning at 5:30 PM, same time as the golf cart parade call time, there will be a “New York Style” Bonnets and Bow-tie Parade. Everyone is called to participate in this walk even kids where individuals can creatively unleash their arts and crafts by wearing their best festive hat and bow-tie.
Call time for the Bonnets and Bow-tie Parade is no later than 5:00 PM where it will start at DSRE tent at the compass-star in front of the entrance to Humiston Park.
Matilde Sorensen said in an interview, “We were overwhelmed with the response from the community at last year’s inaugural event,” said Matilde Sorensen. This is a great family event and we’re excited to be able to present it to the community again this year. And proceeds from the event goes to Boys & Girls Clubs of Indian River County a wonderful organization in our community.”
