Club Car Onward 6 Passenger

Most golf carts we see are on a golf course and offer two standard seats along with a pretty standard appearance. Club Car changed things up in the golf cart world with the unique Onward model which was originally offered in both 2 Passenger and 4 Passenger. Now Club Car has taken everything to the next level.

Not only can you get seating for six, but you can also find many more uses for this versatile vehicle than playing 18 holes (I don’t think they would allow this on the course FYI). The special-build Onward six-passenger is simply a very attractive, efficient people mover for use in an adult community, a resort environment or almost anywhere you need to get from point A to point B in comfort, style and economy.

For example, The Villages adult community there are over 100,000 residents going from clubhouse to shopping center to neighboring homes in more than 40,000 golf carts. With all the daily activities that take place in addition to playing golf, a vehicle like the Onward six-passenger will find a lot of eager buyers. Besides the obvious seating for six, the new Onward comes in a lifted and non-lifted model, both gas-powered with an electronic fuel-injected Subaru engine. The standard cart has 10” wheels and the lifted cart has 14” Kraken wheels that will stop traffic. Both models are engineered, produced and warranted by Club Car and are equipped with the branded Onward suspension for maximum passenger comfort.

The frame has been enhanced to provide extra rigidity that will add to the comfort of the middle seat passengers. The frame is also manufactured of “coastal-friendly” aluminum to eliminate rust concerns for those who live near the water. The extra length overhead one-piece canopy will provide shelter for the rear facing riders. There is ample leg room for both first and second row passengers and second row cup holders are easily accessible. The comfortable seating is completed in a two-tone black and gray color scheme.

In keeping with the sleek design of the Onward, there are new two-piece floor mats that don’t have a visible seam and side-rail retainers that have been integrated to retain the sleek look. The front seat pod has been hinged to allow access under the seat and has benefited from aesthetic style lines that fit right in with the signature Onward profile. If you opt for the lifted model to negotiate tougher terrain or aggressive look, you’ll also note the carbon fiber finished front and rear fender flares and added dash and steering wheel trim.

If all the standard features are still not enough, you have many people personalizing Onward six-passenger features from which to choose. Start with one of five exciting matte metallic color schemes, then match your choice with premium gray seats or special high back seats finished in diamond stitching. If you keep your cart at home, you can add a Bluetooth door opener that you can program to open most any garage door or community gate. For added safety and easier ingress and egress, add Club Car’s popular canopy handles, which your neighborhood Club Car dealer will be happy to install.

For a finishing touch there are now more Atlas II and Mercury wheel designs from which to choose. You can also enjoy luxury touches like Bluetooth speakers, an overhead console, a rear locking trunk and a hidden storage area.

The Onward Six-Passenger is only a limited build, so if you have any interest you should not hold off too long and contact a dealer to check availability. The Club Car Onward is quite the looker, and this limited edition is sure to attract attention whether you are driving down a fairway, along a lakeside campsite, or off to dinner with a bunch of friends. Onward has definitely moved upward, so now it’s your turn.
